Square, the company known for their smartphone app, which allows people to send/receive money, has now expanded person-to-person payments. All you need for this new service, is just an email address and a debit card number.
With this new service, there are (currently) no fees, no accounts to open, and no passwords to remember.
This service is very simple and easy to use. To request/send money, all you need to do is just send an e-mail with the following:
- Draft an email with the recipient’s email address in the “To” field.
- Enter cash@square.com in the “Cc” field.
- Enter at least $1.00 in the subject line.
To send money, just send an e-mail with the following fields:
- Draft an email with the recipient’s email address in the “To” field.
- Enter request@square.com in the “Cc” field.
- Enter at least $1.00 in the subject line.
Also, Square Cash is currently giving out $1 for free, to try out this servie. Unless you change it, The debit card number you use, will be associated with the e-mail address you provided all future payments.
Unfortunately, this service does NOT work with credit cards 🙁
