You can currently snag round-trip tickets from Washington D.C (IAD) to St. Augustine Florida (UST) for as low as just $31.20 round trip and from Washington D.C. (IAD) to Detroit, Michigan (DTW) for as low as $36 round trip!
Tickets are bookable on Priceline. These low fares are randomly available now through the end of January of next year. You will need to play around with the dates, but for the most part, these low rates can be found with mid-week departures.
Just note that these fares are on Frontier Airlines, which is known to “nickel and dime”, so this will be best for someone traveling lightly. Checked luggage as well as carry on bags (amongst other services) are charged a fee. See Frontier’s rates here.
