If you live in the $$ hungry city of new york, you probably know what it’s like to get a ticket, as it is virtually impossible not to get some sort of ticket at some point. If they can’t get you for alternate side parking, an (almost) expired meter, expired registration, parking to close to the sidewalk, parking to far from the sidewalk, parking within 100 feet of a fire hydrant or within 9 miles of a bus stop etc; etc; etc; they’ll get you for expired inspection or an expired registration. Of course, if it’s suits their fancy or they need to reach their quota, they can always just do what they did to this guy here…
– On a side note – Was always wondering how come all the hundreds of millions of dollars they collect every year from parking tickets, can’t go to alleviate the parking problems. For starters, they can build public parking garages with all the cash. It’s not like people are dying to double park, there’s just some times no choice, after you’ve been circling for the past hour trying to find a spot. They can also alleviate the parking problems by moving the fire hydrants over to the bus stops as this will open up more parking spaces. Of course you can also just get rid of the bus stops altogether…
Either way, for anyone in New York State, you can perhaps make your life just a bit easier as you can get a reminder by text to your cell, when your license, inspection or registration is about to expire. To register for the reminder, just go to the NYS DMV website here and enter your driver’s license number, email, and cellphone, and you will get a text reminder to renew license, inspection and registration(s).

Is this easy to use?
