Dates available for these fares are mid January through March 10th on the out bound and from the beginning of February through the end of march on the return.

Turkish airlines is part of the Star Alliance network. Also, a nice thing about Turkish airlines is that they still offer 2 free bags.

With priceline, you can cancel any tickets you purchased through 11:30 pm the day after you purchase your ticket. These fares “also seem” available on Orbitz, but in reality they are not bookable there.

Southwest is currently having a 72 hour fare sale with fare prices ranging from just $49 to $149 each way.

This is one of Southwest’s big fare sales and it’s probably worth it to make bookings for trips, even if they are tentative.

You can also book your trip using points. When booking with points the amount of points needed have also been reduced, being that the fares are now on sale, the point redemption’s are also on sale.

To get these super cheap tickets, go to orbitz or expedia and click on “Multliple Destinations” or “Multi-city” Search from “cities” in the US (e.g. NYC, Boston etc;) going to TLV and returning to Toronto. The return flights all have a stopover in Philadelphia. For example, search from Boston to TLV and then a return flight from TLV to Toronto. US Airways 100% Bonus Miles Offer

US Airways 100% Bonus Miles Offer LINK

US Airways via is offering for a limited time up-to a 100% bonus when purchasing miles! With this promo you can purchase up-to 50,000 miles, so with the 100% bonus you will end up with 100,000 miles!

Worth it?

Well it depends, if you like/wish to travel in business/first class for a fraction of what it normally costs, then this deal is for you.

Amongst many other possible redemption’s, with US airways miles you can travel to Israel in business class for 120k miles round trip or in first class for 150k miles round trip. Asia is 90,000 miles for business class, to the South Pacific it is 110,000 miles (which you can also route through Asia with a stopover). Also note that you get 5,000 miles off US Airways awards if you have the US Airways MasterCard.

The Math:

Each “mile” will cost you $0.035 cents to purchase. Assuming you purchase 50,000 miles (as you can only buy up-to 50,000 miles per time), together with the bonus you will end up with 100,000 miles for a total of $1,750 or 1.75 cents per mile. 50,000 x $0.035 = $1,750.

That means instead of spending $6000 for a business class ticket to Israel (or possibly more, especially to other destinations), it’ll come out to be under $2000! That’s a pretty solid deal, especially in light of the fact that regular economy tickets to Israel can cost sometimes upwards of $1,600!

Other points to bear in mind is that US Airways will seemingly merge with American Airlines sometime in 2014, this could very well be one of your last chances to get in on a 100% bonus on purchased miles. Additionally, most likely once the US/AA merger will be approved, these miles will eventually merge into your American Airlines AAdvantage account and AA almost never sells miles for less than 2 cents a piece, as you would be getting here.

Flying can sometimes be very stressful. Below is a list of different ways to get Airport Lounge access and a list of different credit cards which offer Airport Lounge access, complimentary.

1. The Platinum American Express Card – With The Platinum American Express Card, you can access American Airlines Admirals Club, Delta Sky Club, US Airways Club lounges, and the Airspace Lounge in the Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Concourse D, just by presenting your American Express Platinum credit card. You can even bring in 2 guests or your spouse and any children up till the age of 21, free.
The Platinum Card, also comes with a free membership, in the Priority Pass Select program, which gives you complimentary access into over 600 airport lounges worldwide. Platinum Authorized user card holders, also receive a complimentary membership into the Priority Pass Select program.
Additionally, one of the benefits of the Platinum American Express card is the $200 annual airline incidental credit. This $200 credit covers anything from in flight food purchase, to overweight luggage, but also includes the purchase of airport lounge day-passes. (The $200 annual credit runs on a calendar year, meaning, you get $200 to spend before the end of the year and then again on January 1 of the next year, even though, such as, you only got the credit card in November.)

2. Hilton HHonors SurpassCard from American Express – This credit card comes with a free membership in the Priority Pass Select program. The Priority Pass program entitles the member to lounge access at over 600 lounges around the world, but with this card all lounge visits are subject to a fee of USD $27 per person per visit including guests.

3. The Chase Ink Bold and The Chase Ink Bold Plus – Business Credit cards – These credit cards come with membership to Lounge Club and gives you 2 free lounge passes, these passes can be used at over 350 airport lounges around the world. Additionally, each additional user card (additional users are free) also receive the 2 free passes.

4. United Club Card from Chase – The United Club card comes with a complimentary membership in the United Club lounge program. Being a United Club Member will get you into the United Club, US Airways lounges and Star Alliance branded lounges worldwide  when flying that star alliance partner. Additionally, with the United Club card, you don’t need to fly to get into the United or US Airways lounge, by presenting this card at check in you will receive a gate pass which entitles you to go beyond security even when you are not flying. You are allowed to bring up 2 guests or family in for free.

5. United Explorer Card form Chase – With this card you receive 2 free annual passes for United Club or US Airways airport lounge access.

6. Cit Executive AAdvantage Card – This card comes with a complimentary membership into the American Airlines Admirals Club, which gets you into the American Airlines AAdmirals lounges. Additionally, you are allowed to bring up to 2 guests or immediate family into the lounge with you.

7. Citi AAdvantge Card – This card gives you 2 free annual passes for American Airlines airport lounge access.

8. US Airways MasterCard from Barclaycard – This card gives you 1 complimentary US Airways Club day pass, annually.

9. Delta Reserve Credit Card from American Express – This credit card gives you complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club when flying Delta. The complimentary access also allows for you to bring up to 2 guests or your spouse and children up to the age of 21, free.

10. Fairmont Visa Signature Card from Chase – This card come with a Complimentary annual membership to the Lounge Club and 2 free visits, subsequent visits cost $27. The Lounge Club gives access to over 350 airport lounges.

11. Buy a day pass – You can buy day passes from Delta, Alaska Airlines, United etc; These usually range about  $40 – $50.

12. Buy a lounge membership – These will typically cost around $400 – $500 a year. You can buy a membership to Delta, United, American Airlines etc; for domestic travel, or you can buy a Priority Pass membership or Lounge Club for global access.

13. Ebay – Yes, you may be able to find day passes that people receive annually from their credit cards to AAdmirals Club, United, US Airways, and Delta, for sale.

NYC – TLV For Just $652 Round Trip!

Update 3: NYC – TLV, the $652 fares are “basically” all sold out, though there are still some $652 fares still available most of the “cheap” fares are now in the $788 range.

Chicago to TLV is still available for $644 on Delta as well as LA to TLV for $718 on United. You can get to Chicago from NYC for just 7,500 British Airways Avios Points. BA Avios can be transferred from American Express reward points or from Chase UR points if you have a Chase Sapphire or INK credit card.

On your return,  if you do not want to continue on to Chicago or LA, you can simply leave the airport at JFK or EWR. You will be able to pick up your luggage at JFK or EWR being that everyone arriving in the US before continuing on to their domestic destination, needs to take their luggage and go through customs. You can simply leave the airport at that point.
