You do not need to have any revenue yet from your business to be eligible for a business credit card.

If you are unsure as to how many cards, you’ve gotten within the past 24 months, you can check your credit report for free at annualcreditreport.com to check how many accounts are showing as being open in the past 24 months.
This restriction is only for credit cards where you are the Primary card holder. If you are only an authorized user, or you’ve gotten a store credit card, Chase will initially count those in the 5/24, but you can call Chase and have those removed, and get manually approved for this card.

Citi Rewards+℠ Card With Nearest 10 Point Roundup on Every Purchase + 15,000 Bonus Points!

Update: Offer expired.

Citibank has a unique credit card, which at times can be very lucrative, it’s called The Citi Rewards+℠ Card.
This card has an amazing feature where for every purchase you make, your points earned will automatically round up to the nearest 10 points! This means you’ll earn a minimum of 10 points per purchase no matter the amount of your purchase. If you purchase a $2 coffee, or a $0.99 pack of floss picks or even a $0.55 eyeshaddow brush, each purchase will earn you 10 points!

The bonus offer that comes with this card is 15,000 bonus points. You need to spend just $1,000 within the first 3 months from card opening to the earn the bonus points. 15,000 bonus points for a card which carries no annual fee, is a pretty nice offer.

Spending on this card will net you 2 points for every $1 at supermarkets and gas stations, up to >$6,000 in combined supermarket and gas station spending. After that you’ll earn 1 point per dollar, and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases.

As mentioned, the real sweet spot of this card is the unique and at times lucrative feature of the nearest 10 point purchase roundup. This 10 point roundup is on every purchase! For instance a $1 purchase that would normally net you 1 point, will instead earn you 10 points – which is 10% back! A $5 purchase will earn you 10 points, a $65 purchase will earn you 70 points etc;.

The nearest 10 point roundup even works on purchases that earn 2 points per dollar! This means a $7 purchase at the supermarket, will double to 14 points, then will be rounded up to 20 points!

Another feature of this card, which makes it all the more valuable, is that you’ll get 10% back on the first 100,000 points that you redeem per calendar year. This means, for instance, if you redeem 50,000 points, you’ll get a reimbursement back of 5,000 points, if you redeem 100,000 points, you’ll get back a reimbursement of 10,000 points into your account!

This card also comes with a 0% intro APR on all purchases and balance transfers for the first 15 months.

There is no annual fee on this card.

Bottom line, the The Citi Rewards+℠ Card is an excellent card if you are in the habit of making multiple small purchases throughout the day, as this card will earn a nice bit of extra points, on these purchases!

Points earned on this card are Citi ThankYou points, which are redeemable for travel on the Citi portal, statement credits toward your balance or gift cards and are worth 1 cent per point. Alternatively, you can transfer your points to JetBlue’s TrueBlue rewards program at a 5:4 ratio.

— An alternative card with a nice cash back offer, you may want to consider, is the Citi® Double Cash Card, which will earn you 2% back on every purchase everywhere! You’ll earn 1% back when you swipe, and another 1% back when you pay your balance.

Keep in mind that this is a business credit card. You do not need to be incorporated though, or have a business in the traditional sense to apply for a business credit card. If for instance you sell on ebay, or even if you have any other side business (and you want to keep your expenses separate), you are eligible to apply for a business credit card.  When filling out the business credit card application, choose “Sole Proprietor” as the type of business and fill in your name as your business name. For the Tax I.D. you will write your Social Security Number.
You do not need to have any revenue yet from your business to be eligible for a business credit card.

Additionally, one of the befits of a business credit card, is that on a business credit card, your balance is not reported on your personal credit report. That’s a nice perk, being that a whopping 30% of your credit report is made up of your credit utilization.

A Look At The Chase Amazon Prime Credit Card – Now With An $80 Bonus Offer

Are you a big Amazon shopper? Here’s a look at the Amazon Prime credit card, which is now offering an $80 signup bonus.

$80 is obviously not a huge signup bonus in the credit card signup bonus sphere, however, if you are a big Amazon spender, or Whole Foods shopper, and Amazon Prime member, the 5% cash back on this no annual fee card, can definitely make it worth it.

You could theoretically earn 5% cash back on Amazon purchases, by using your Case Ink Cash or Ink Plus business credit cards, to purchase Amazon gift cards at Office Supply stores. Though with the gift card purchase method, you will lose your credit card benefits on your purchases, such as return and warranty protection. You will also be limited to 5% back at Office Supply stores, to $25,000 a year on the Ink Cash or $50,000 with the Ink Plus. With this Amazon Prime credit card, you simply spend at Amazon, and you’ll earn 5% back, and you’ll also get all the purchase protections. That’s much easier than having to go and purchase gift cards, while also losing the credit card protections.

  1. Earn an $80 Amazon gift card after approval, no spending required. ($50 for non Prime members)
    1. In order to earn the 5% cash back, you need to use your own Amazon account. Student Prime membership and trial prime membership count as well.
  2. Earn 5% cashback at Amazon and Whole Foods if you are an Amazon Prime member (3% cashback for non Prime members.)
  3. 2% cashback at restaurants, gas stations, and drug stores
  4. 1% cashback on all other purchases.
  5. No foreign transaction fee.
  6. No annual fee

Note: The Chase 5/24 applies to this card as well. Therefore, if you have 5 or more new credit card accounts opened in the past 24 months, Chase will not approve you for this card. The number of new accounts includes all credit card accounts, not only Chase accounts.

Apple Launching Credit Card with Goldman Sachs

Apple and Goldman Sachs will be launching a new joint credit card, as soon as this spring. This card will be using the MasterCard payment network, and will be designed to be used with iPhone and Apple Pay.

Besides for the big 4 card issuers, Chase, Amex, Citi and Barclays, there are numerous other banks which offer credit cards as well, but this is Goldman Sachs’s first ever credit card! Will this be the first of other cards issued by Goldman Sachs? Time will tell.

According to the Wall Street Journal, this card will have special features in the Apple Wallet app that will only be available to cardholders.

This card is set be offering a nice 2% cash back on most purchase, with potentially more cashback on Apple purchases. This is very similar to the Citi Double Cash Card which offers 2% cashback on all purchases.
What we don’t yet know, is if there will be a signup bonus for this card, though at this point it doesn’t seem to be likely.

Stay tuned…

Limited Time Increased 70,000 Point Bonus Offer On Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard!

After spending the $5,000 within 3 months, you’ll have a total of 80,000 points!

You can earn this bonus even if you have had this card in the past, though if you currently have this card open, you won’t be able to earn the bonus.

The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard is from one of the best cash back credit cards out there for everyday purchases. It offers a nice 2 percent cash-back in the form of points on all purchases!  Plus you’ll get an additional 5% back upon redeeming your points, so effectively you are getting a nice 2.11% back on all purchases.

Miles don’t expire as long as your account is open, active and in good standing

There is also a 0% introductory APR for 12 months on Balance Transfers made within 45 days of account opening.

The $89 annual fee is waived to first year and there is no foreign transaction fees.

The best way to redeem your points for full value, is to redeem them for travel related expenses. Any time you have a “travel” charge of $100 or more to your card, you will have the option of receiving a statement credit towards the travel expense at a value of 1 cent per point (+ you’ll get the 5% back).

For example if you spend $600 dollars on a plane ticket and have 60,000 points from the bonus from opening the card, you’ll be able to get a $600 cash refund. Plus, you’ll also get 3,000 points redeposited to your account worth $30.

The travel can be booked via any booking site or straight from the agency etc;. (You can also of course just book a refundable plane ticket to redeem your points, and once the points are redeemed, you can simply cancel the refundable ticket.)

If you applied and are denied for this card, you can call Barclays reconsideration department at 866-408-4064.

Earn Up To 80,000 Bonus Points On Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card

Update: This offer is expired.

Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card

Chase is currently running an unofficial promotional 80,000 point signup bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card!

With this special unofficial link, you’ll get 50,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 within the first 3 months and an additional 30,000 bonus points after you spend another $16,000 within the first year, for a total of $20,000.

The annual fee of $95 is also waived for the first year.

The regular bonus on this card, is 50,000 bonus points after $4,000 spend, plus 5,000 bonus points for adding an authorized user. This 80,000 bonus point offer is obviously much better. Though the catch is, that there is also a significant higher spending requirement of $20,000 within the first year, to attain the max bonus.

If you can manage the increased spending, then this offer is much better for you. Just don’t forget that the 5/24 rule applies to this card, so if you got 5 new cards within the past 2 years, you won’t be eligible for this card. Also keep in mind that Chase only allows  you to have one Sapphire card and you may only get one Sapphire bonus every 24 months.

(Thanks Burich for the tip!)

Rumor: Last Chance To Get 25,000 Point Signup Bonus On Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express!

Update: This offer is expired.

Credit card offers can be viewed by clicking on the creditcards .com banner on the top of the site or by hovering over the Credit Cards tab in the navigation toolbar on the top of the page. You can view “Hotel Rewards Credit Cards, by selecting the Hotel Rewards credit card tab.

There is a rumor going around, which seems to be highly plausible, that the signup bonus on the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express, will be very shortly, substantially lowered to just a $200 statement credit, if not outright discontinued, so this may be your last chance!

The current signup bonus on this card, offers 25,000 Starwood points after you spend $3,000 within the first 3 months.

When/if this change to the signup bonus will be made is still unknown, though it may be imminent without any notice. Indeed the signup bonus on the Canadian SPG card, as of yesterday has already been lowered to just a $100 statement credit plus a $150 Marriott hotel credit.

This comes on the heels of the recent Marriott announcement that the SPG, Marriott and Ritz Carlton rewards programs will all be combined into 1 program. As of 8/1, all Starwood points will convert into Marriott points at a 1:3 ratio, which means that the 25,000 Starwood points from the signup bonus, will turn into 75,000 Marriott points.

Until August 1st, you’ll earn 1 point for every dollar spent on this card, which will convert into 3 Marriott points. After August 1st, this card will earn 2 Marriott points for every dollar spent.

A great new benefit being introduced to this card from August 1st onward, will be a free annual award night. With this new perk, you will receive a free hotel night every year on your card anniversary. The award night will be valid for one year and can be used at any hotel which costs 35,000 points or less.

There are no foreign transaction fees on this card and the annual fee of $95 is waived for the first year.
