New Hawaiian Airlines Credit Card With 35,000 Bonus Miles or 52,500 Hilton Points!

Recently Barclays Bank has taken over as the issuer for the The Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard. Up until a few months ago, the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard was issued by Bank of America.

With this transition, a number of new benefits have been added to the card including  a nice initial 35,000 bonus miles after $1,000 spend within the first 3 months, a one-time 50% discount on coach roundtrip companion airfare between Hawaii and North America on Hawaiian Airlines, and a free checked bag when flying Hawaiian.

Award seats on Hawaiian start at 20,00 miles each way from North America to Hawaii in coach class, and 40,000 in first. Though cardmembers do get a 5,000 point reduction on round trip award redemption’s from North America to Hawaii, which would mean that the round trip would only cost you 35,000 miles.

Hawaiian airlines, is not a member of the 3 major airline alliances, but they do partner with several different airlines which you can also redeem your points on, including: American Airlines, ANA, Korean Air, JetBlue, Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.

Hawaiian airlines is also a partner of the Hilton hotels loyalty program ‘HHonors’ and their points transfer at a 1:1.5 ratio. That means if you choose to convert your miles, the 35,000 signup bonus will net you 52,500 Hilton points. 52,500 Hilton points is more than you’d receive with any of the Hilton co-branded credit cards themselves!

Hawaiian is also a transfer partner of American Express membership rewards, so if you need to top off your account, you can always transfer some American Express points toy our Hawaiian account. This card is issued by Barclaycard, A great thing about Barclaycard, is that they generally only pull from the Transunion credit bureau, Now, depending on your location, Chase, Citi, or American Express may be pulling from Experian or Equifax (including NY, NJ).
