Chase has just launched a brand new awesome credit card called the Chase Sapphire Reserve. For a limited time, Chase is offering an incredible 100,000 Bonus bonus points on this card, after you spend $4,000 within the first 3 months of card opening.
You’ll also get an annual automatic travel credit of $300 per calendar year. This effectively means if you apply now you can $600 in travel credits as you’ll get $300 in 2016 and another $300 in 2017 all before your first year is up. Travel expenses include airfare, car rentals, hotels, cruises, and transportation such as Uber, buses, subways and E-ZPass.
With this new Sapphire card, you can redeem your points for travel, including airfare, hotels, car rentals and cruises through Chase Ultimate Rewards portal, at a value of 1.5¢ per point. Essentially the 100,000 bonus offer is worth at least $1,500 in free travel, or you can also transfer them into into airline miles or hotel points.
This card will earn you 3 points per dollar on all dining and travel expenses such as airfare, car rentals, hotels, cruises, and transportation which means you are essentially earning 4.5% back for each dollar spent on these categories.
The card has a $450 annual fee which is not waived for the first year, though in the first year – taking into account the 100k bonus and $600 in travel credits – you can easily get $2,000+ in value out of this card. Additional cardholders cost $75 per year though and they will also get a free Priority Pass membership.
